Gary Young and his wife Sandy from Baton Rouge support Foundation 56

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bradie James lost both his parents during his sophomore year at LSU. Within months of each other, his father died of liver disease and his mother lost her battle with breast cancer.  Determined not to succumb to his overwhelming grief, the rising star persevered.  In 2007, James launched Foundation 56 to honor the memory of his loving mother. As a donor advisory fund to the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, the organization provides support for early-detection and prevention services.

As a breast cancer survivor, Sandy is dedicated to the progress of Foundation 56, serving as a member of the board since 2008. The organization has raised over $100,000, benefiting countless women and families affected by breast cancer. Both Gary and Sandy will continue to support the noble efforts of James and Foundation 56.
