Sandy and Gary Young of Baton Rouge donated their condo

Women’s Victory Golf Tournament

In 2010, Sandy and Gary Young of Baton Rouge contributed to the Women’s Victory Golf Tournament, a fundraising event with proceeds benefiting breast cancer research and treatment.

Dreams Come True, Inc. was founded in 1982 by a group of families in the Baton Rouge area to provide “dreams” to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Some dreams include shopping trips, vacations and playground equipment. While largely funded by donations from individuals and businesses, several fundraisers are held throughout the year. In 2009, Gary and Sandy Young donated their personal condo on the island of Maui, Hawaii in an effort to entice participation in the Dream Vacation contest.  Needless to say, the contest was a success and the winning family enjoyed seven days and six nights in the Young family’s vacation home. Gary and Sandy were delighted in offering their home for a good cause.
